Choosing Beliefs - The Key to New Experience

Let’s explore some basic concepts about Belief Negotiation. First let’s recall the primary idea that “You get what you concentrate on.” and let’s go on to make an equivalency between ‘concentrate on’ and ‘believe’. Beliefs are totally key.

Thus what we are experiencing as ‘reality’ around us and within us is the the result of what we are concentrating on - what we believe. If we concentrate on conflict, we get conflict. If we concentrate on harmony… guess what we get? This means that our reality is always the result of our concentration. Never the cause!

But what is it that shapes and moulds this fantastically powerful concentration of ours? Habits, behavior and beliefs! Where we place our attention and what we concentrate on are hugely influenced by our beliefs about who we are and how the world works. [This is how the whole thing works...]

Dare We Offer Up Our Cherished Beliefs for Negotiation?

Thanks for asking this question. There is a good point being expressed here…

If you think about it, the only time you become aware of your beliefs is when they’re not working for you anymore. Beliefs that are working are utterly invisible. What’s true is true, and what’s real is real. In everyday moments one does not trouble oneself with these kinds of distinctions and distractions. Life is to be lived!

If we are honest we will see that any belief that comes up for examination is doomed. As soon as we become aware of a belief, our ‘faith’ in that belief becomes less and less… until eventually our doubt overtakes our belief entirely…

The only difference… the only distinction that allows any of this to make sense, is the idea that we can learn to release these outdated beliefs sooner than later, given an understanding of the principles involved and a willingness to exercise a bit of laissé-fair capitalism on the home front, not to say actual personal freedom and unfettered creativity …

I am sure there are a few things about your life you’d like to change. Everybody would like to make some changes in their reality, even it’s only boiling the kettle faster or finding missing socks.

For most of us the alterations we have in mind are much more aggressive and significant; more money, less hassle, a new job, car, house, good health, a beautiful body, a beautiful mate… The list goes on.

Information is emerging that shows how important our beliefs are in forming our reality. It turns out that what we believe is a sort of lens through which we shine our reality creation energy. What comes out the other side - the realities we create - is enormously influenced by the beliefs we hold.

The Birth of Belief Negotiation

My own situation is that I have learned so much lately that I haven’t been able to put all of it into practice. I find myself noticing some daily travail or bad habit and just throwing up my hands in consciousness and letting it go. I know how to address these things but there’s only so much time in a day. Because of this embarrassment of riches, I am starting to trust organic priorities to show up and force my hand, so to speak, and more and more willing to let things that maybe I thought ’should’ be happening, slide a bit.
